Meet the Founder – The Story Behind Lux Living
From My Colorado Mountains to Your Home
I traded the hustle and bustle of Chicago for the breathtaking mountains of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, because I wanted a lifestyle that allowed me to slow down and truly enjoy the outdoors. After living here for several years, I realized something: although Colorado is beautiful 365 days a year, I was only enjoying my outdoor living space for about half of them! Between the snow, cold temperatures, and unpredictable mountain weather, my time spent grilling, relaxing, and entertaining outside was far too limited. I decided I wanted to create an outdoor living space that I could enjoy year-round, regardless of the season. What I didn't realize was just how challenging that would be. I quickly learned that choosing the right products meant considering more than appearance and price. Snow loads, wind, extreme temperatures, and even altitude could make a tremendous difference in how well a gazebo, hot tub, or grill would perform. Finding quality products with the right specifications became an exhausting process of researching, comparing, and searching countless websites.
That's when the idea for Lux Living was born. I figured if I was having this much trouble finding everything I needed, surely other people were experiencing the same frustration. I wanted to create an online store where customers across the country could find a thoughtfully selected variety of quality products without spending hours jumping from one website to another. And I didn't want to stop at offering the big-ticket items. If you're shopping for a grill, you should be able to find the right cover and accessories to go with it. If you're creating an outdoor retreat, you should be able to find the furniture, heating, structures, and finishing touches that make it complete. My goal is simple: to make shopping easier, save you valuable time, and help you create spaces you'll love spending time in. Lux Living grew from my own experience, and I hope it helps you spend less time searching and more time enjoying the lifestyle you're creating.
